Commercial Work
I've written for years. Everything from brochures, flyers, direct mail
pieces, newsletters, letters, proposals, web site content, press releases,
articles, jingles, strap lines, brand essences, leaflets, pitches, new business
documents, sponsorship appeals, blogs. You name it.
It's not easy to write to order. There are times when you know your
client's approach is not the right one for the market but it's difficult to
explain. Other times you can't find the right words.
Writing is not a tangible service for many clients. It's often perceived
as an added value service eg: web content is seen as part of the entire
website and client's often allot writing a lesser worth when in reality content
drives the site.
A well written strap line, jingle or direct mail piece could be exactly what
makes your advert work. A refined, frequent newsletter could ensure
that you keep those existing clients.
Here are a few examples:
African Bikers
Join us cycling, hiking and touring in one of the world’s most culturally diverse countries - SOUTH AFRICA!! From the moment we set foot in this fascinating country for our once in a lifetime cycle tour, we knew we would immigrate as we just couldn’t forget the vibrancy of the people or the stunning natural attractions. Jens and I (Andreas) cycled through the whole of Africa (that’s 16 different African countries) taking an entire year to drink it all in. It was amazing! Now, we want to share it with you. The Cape boasts magnificent beaches, whales, cultivated wine lands, mountains and the incredible Mother City of Cape Town to tour through whilst KwaZulu Natal adds a tropical flavour, wild life and battlegrounds to explore. The Klein Karoo is semi desert and breath taking and the Garden Route - well what can we say? The climate is fantastic and boasts the most sunshine hours in the world - imagine that - practically guaranteed weather! We opened our touring company in 1993 and now live in Cape Town - a totally cosmopolitan city with great nightlife as well as a lot of eco-tourism to enjoy. Each and every day is different for both us and our guests as we offer cycling tours, hiking and even adventure tours into neighbouring Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland and Zimbabwe! If running a marathon is more your thing then rest assured we are totally up to date on the great marathon events such as the one held annually in Knysna, the jewel of the Garden Route during the famous Oyster Festival. Your enjoyment and our commitment to personalised care is of paramount importance to us so we keep our tour groups small and our accommodation as personal and in keeping with our ethos - as close to the feel of Africa as possible. We even take into account the amazing cuisine so you can tantalise your palate on tour! Suffice it to say that our recurring guests are proof of our excellence. We want you to fall in love with South Africa as we have done - and return as friends!
